Your Kent Wedding - July/Aug 2024 (Issue 115)

My dress was by Rosa Clará. I loved the intricate details of the lace sides, the low scoop back, and, of course, the train! While we were having our photos taken, I surprised Marc with a card telling him I had booked a trip for us to Las Vegas. It was great to have this moment captured in both our photos and video of the day. We are big lovers of live music, so a band was non-negotiable. We went for an acoustic feel for the reception and hired a duo from Honeydew Marmalade who played some pop classics to get the party started. For the evening, we had a rock band called Pulse from Tailored Entertainment. They had incredible energy and even played the guitars behind their heads! The dancefloor was packed all evening. Our photographer Helen England and our videographer Paul from Cut Above Productions made the whole day so relaxed. With rather turbulent weather conditions, they were so flexible and made sure we got to spend as much time as possible enjoying our day with our guests while capturing lots of natural moments. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but we felt so at ease on the day with their approach and way of working. We couldn’t imagine the day without either of them involved. My bridesmaids chose different styles of dresses, but they were all the same gem green colour. I had looked everywhere for this shade of green and it suited all their skin tones beautifully. Marc wore a navy suit from Slater Menswear with a cream waistcoat and polka-dot tie. As a gift, he gave all the groomsmen personalised pocket watches from Engravers Guild Ltd. On the day, we felt so many different emotions, from a few nerves in the morning to pure joy seeing our closest friends and family in one place. It was such a heartwarming day. Walking down the aisle was quite surreal, but a memory neither one of us will forget. REAL WEDDINGS 37
