Your Kent Wedding - May/June 2024 (Issue 114)

Every napkin, pizza box and menu was stamped with a picture of our two dogs, along with all the invitations and envelopes prior to the big day. The cake and matching cupcakes from The Willow & Blossom Bakery were a combination of vanilla and red velvet and had splashes of colour that matched my dress – a surprise that I managed to keep from Steve until the day when he saw the dress and cake together and the theme suddenly all made sense! The tables were named after our pets: the dogs, Zac and Flynn, and the sheep, Potato. Each table had framed pictures of the pet at either end. Each table had individual bud vases and candlestick holders that I handmade. Along with this, the poles of the marquee were decorated with wildflower displays by Wild Bloom. We chose a sweetheart table for us and three long banquet tables for our guests. I’m a potter, so I made individual place cards from clay with everyone’s name on them, along with a picture of our pet sheep, Potato, for the place settings and favours. 48
