Your Kent Wedding - May/June 2024 (Issue 114)

For the centrepieces, we chose candelabra and lanterns provided by Inn on the Lake, which we decorated with sunflower garlands and blue petals. Our cake was made by Michael’s aunt and was flavoured like Caribbean rum and decorated with sunflowers. We didn’t take long choosing a venue, as we both loved the Inn on the Lake. We liked the idea of having an outdoor wedding by the beautiful lake and woodland. When we enquired about the wedding and talked about our plans, Natalie from the venue was so helpful and accommodating that we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. Our table plan was a map of St. Lucia’s districts, decorated with a mixture of blue and yellow flowers. We decorated the space with blue and yellow sashes on the chairs provided by Wild Balloons. Our flowers were a mixture of blue and yellow blooms that we purchased from Whittingtons. For our food, we had a barbeque serving jerk chicken, rice and peas provided by Inn on the Lake. 36
