Your Kent Wedding - November/December 2023 (Issue 111)

The highlights for me were the vows, which we wrote ourselves; our mums doing readings for us; my brother’s speech; our first dance and the one with my dad; and my grandad George who was wearing a kilt and looked amazing! My bouquet was made up of red roses as was Mitchell’s buttonhole. The bridesmaids carried posies of white roses, while the groomsmen wore white rose buttonholes. The bridesmaids wore one shoulder, burgundy corset back dresses from The Fairy Godmother in Tonbridge. Mitchell wore a tuxedo, the jacket of which had a paisley pattern so it set him apart from his groomsmen. Their tuxes were black. “Our favours were mini jar candles in two scents, Wedding Bells and a Christmas-inspired fragrance. We tied a small label around the neck of each jar that read: ‘Thanks for celebrating with us.’” I wore a bespoke dress from MollieLeigh Bridal. I always wanted to have sleeves and sparkle, but also loved the idea of something plain. When I saw this dress, I fell in love, it was perfect. I hadn’t seen anything like it before. 44
