CITRUS Seaside and We love the fresh lemon colour palette of this shoot. Paired with the location’s bracing sea air it enlivens the senses Images courtesy of Mrs C Walters Photography West Bay House in Westgate-on-Sea evokes the literary romances many of us grew up dreaming of, such as the beloved epics from the minds of Austen and the Brontës. Designed in the Queen Anne Revival style, its romantic features offer undeniable potential for show-stopping backdrops ideal for intimate weddings. Accompanied by a group of Kent-based suppliers who shared this vision for the venue, shoot coordinator Fiona Markham at Styled to Remember set out to turn dreams into reality. “We made it a priority to show the functionality of the house both internally and externally through the venue styling,” says Fiona. “Being located by the seaside, we wanted to incorporate movement during the outdoor ceremony with draping. We also adopted the vibrancy of yellow via lemons and flowers throughout the indoor ‘I dos’ and wedding breakfast, beautifully complementing the modernity of the interiors.” Fiona continues, “The Covid-19 pandemic has made many couples redefine what weddings mean to them, resulting in an increased appeal for intimate celebrations. West Bay House allows you to gather with your loved ones, while embracing the grandeur of a traditional wedding.” 62
