Your Kent Wedding - January/February 2023 (Issue 106)

LOOKING THE PART I wore Meadow by Madi Lane in ivory mocha. I love the 3D floral lace detail and key-hole back, and the sleeves give it a really elegant look. It was also comfortable to wear. Instead of a veil I decided to wear a flower crown created by White &Winsome. It was exactly what I was after: colourful and comfortable – it stayed on all day. My bouquet was vibrant, colourful and beautiful, made up of wildflowers and vuvuzela roses, which suited the season. Ray wore a black tuxedo and black bow tie, with gold-tone embellished seahorse and starfish cufflinks from Paul Smith. As well as having wildflowers in his buttonhole he added a thistle as a nod to his Scottish heritage. The bridesmaids wore long dresses with lace detail, each in a different colour: green, blue and pink, to represent the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with different colour bow ties to mirror the bridesmaids’ dresses. We were able to pick three options from the caterer’s menu per course. For starter guests could opt for smoked salmon, pork belly or tomato soup. For the main, there was chicken, beef or sea bass. And for dessert, they could select either chocolate mousse, sticky toffee pudding or lemon tart. The food was amazing and everyone was super-impressed, including us! 39 REAL WEDDINGS
