Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 107)

The cake was incredible! We picked a neutral backdrop and added a vibrant pop of orange. Our centrepiece flowers beautifully complemented the cake, which was finished off with a personalised wooden topper. We chose the same florist for the centrepieces to ensure everything coordinated perfectly, and then we added some fun extras like feathers. We really loved the ample outdoor space at Parley Manor, adorned with stunning gardens. The ceremony and reception areas were divided by charming stone walls. Although the October weather felt a bit gloomy, the enchanting gardens and the silk-tented reception area captured our hearts with a delightful Alice in Wonderland atmosphere. I was fortunate to have a wonderful childhood friend whose mom, Jane, cared for our flowers. Each bouquet was coordinated perfectly, and mine featured the opposite colours of the bridesmaids’ dresses. The groomsmen sported charming little posies that looked fantastic against the beige suits. We were very excited that Parley Manor had an outdoor ceremony licence. Thankfully, the British weather was on our side. Simply Flower created a massive and wonderful moon gate arch as the central focus of the aisle, and our ‘I do’ photos are stunning! We wanted a fun-filled day to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. So, we were thrilled that most of the guests could attend our day. 40
