Jack and Harriet had a rustic wedding with boho touches Images courtesy of Photography by Ellie Jayne In 2011, fate brought these two lovebirds together at Brockenhurst College. Harriet was just beginning her first year, while Jack was already in his second. They had mutual friends from their secondary school days, which made it easier for them to connect. Living in the same area, they frequently took the same bus home, and one of Harriet’s friends even saved her number in Jack’s phone – this marked the start of their journey together. Although they were both a bit shy initially, they bonded over lunch breaks playing UNO. Harriet thought Jack was really cool and laid-back, recalling, “Jack was a skater; I can still picture his baggy trousers and skate shoes. Oh, how his style has evolved since then!” On the other hand, Jack was captivated by Harriet’s stunning eyes and delightful smile, especially her dimples. The couple had been together for a decade when they got engaged, and it was completely unexpected for Harriet! The proposal took place just a day before her birthday, and it was the only day that week without rain. They enjoyed a trip to Bath and made a mid-week stop at Cheddar Gorge. After hiking to the summit and soaking in the breathtaking views, they snapped some photos while Jack secretly recorded the entire moment. Harriet recalls, “I remember him tripping over some rocks with his hands tucked in his pockets. We posed for a bit, and then he knelt down and asked, ‘Will you be my wife?’ but I definitely took my time before answering because I was so emotional!” Here, the bride shares details about their special day… Summer lovin 39 REAL WEDDINGS
