That was until they passed a car where the driver waved them down, gesturing for them to pull over. They rolled down the windows and heard, “Your shoes are on the roof, mate!” Tiago had taken them off before getting in, hoping to keep them in good shape for the long day ahead. They were still amazed that the shoes didn’t fly off into the woods! The pair couldn’t believe their luck as they experienced what felt like the first day of sunshine of the year. In March, they had braced for rain, but the blue skies lifted everyone’s spirits and meant they could make the most of the stunning grounds. Many suppliers ensured the pair experienced the perfect wedding. The fabulous photographer did not stop all day and gave it all she had. Her friendly personality put the pair at ease, which was very much needed for a camera-shy couple! HONEYMOON Planning the honeymoon was a joint effort. The pair wanted somewhere abroad but not too far, warm and sunny but not hot. They decided to go to Malta for a week, staying in a coastal hotel. The groom comments, “It was so wonderfully relaxing, especially after dedicating all our spare time to wedding planning. We completely switched off from worries, work or any other source of stress. Most importantly, we got to spend a whole week doing nothing but being together.” 36
