Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 106)

Myself, the bridesmaids, the bridesman, and my parents all arrived in a vintage VW Beetle and VW T2 Split-Screen Camper hired from Dorset Dubhire, based in Wimborne. Both have always been my favourite cars! Josh sported a blue checked suit that coordinated perfectly with the outfits of his two best men. He complemented his look with a bottle green tie and a black shirt, finishing with green Converses. I used dried or faux flowers to create all the bridesmaids’ bouquets! A talented lady on Etsy made my own bouquet and flower crown. The table centrepieces also featured dried and faux flowers, ensuring they would last forever and add a special touch to the occasion. We hired a wonderful singer, Hannah, who played when our guests arrived, throughout the ceremony, and for a couple of hours afterwards. Holme for Gardens is nearby and a spot that we’ve always enjoy visiting as a couple. Plus, I’m a big lover of plants, so having the wedding in a garden was essential. We had our ceremony in the grass amphitheatre at the venue, and the evening festivities were held in a marquee from a local supplier, Oakleaf Marquees. We aimed to create a laid-back atmosphere for our wedding, ensuring that we and our guests could enjoy the day to the fullest while reflecting our personalities and interests. I wore a custom embroidered gown by Jordan de Ruiter, accessorised with a cropped jacket and white Converse, as I wanted to be comfortable. I felt amazing, and my outfit was so me! 40
