This colourful and romantic shoot takes inspiration from the Regency period but with a modern twist Images courtesy of HS Photography PEACHY Feelin As a fan of period dramas, photographer Hayley Szczecinski wanted to create a styled shoot inspired by Bridgerton and the Regency era to capture the essence of romance but maintain modern aesthetics. Hayley comments, “I chose to stage the shoot at Elmers Court in Lymington, which has a particular al fresco area framed by pillars that excused those Regency vibes I was looking for. When selecting the palette, I wanted to draw on the pastel hues predominant in the Bridgerton series, focusing on Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2024 Peach Fuzz. The shoot aimed to showcase as many local suppliers as I could, many of whom are on the venue’s recommended suppliers list, I created moodboards to share my vision with all the suppliers I’d gathered. “On the day, there were a few hiccups, including losing our original stylist and the rainy weather, but these were overcome. Syreeta from the Luxury Hire Co stepped in to do a fabulous job styling the tables, and the weather cleared up in time for the shoot.” The suppliers were specifically asked to draw inspiration, but use their expertise and imagination, to create whatever they wanted, as long as it fitted the aesthetic. Amanda’s Black Cakes, formerly Elmsleigh Cakes, created an elegant masterpiece while Corbins Florist used seasonal blooms and ensured the spectacular broken arch plus table scaping matched the overall vibe. The hair and make-up were kept classy, paired with a chunky pearl headband for a modern, on-trend alternative to a tiara. Becky from Thompson Wedding Film joined the team on the day to capture the shoot and create fabulous content for suppliers to share. REGIONAL SHOOT 51
