It looked amazing, tasted just as good as it looked, and was a massive hit with the guests.” The lovebirds didn’t get a chance to try any cake on the day, so they appreciated the venue saving them the top tier for eating after the honeymoon. The place names and table names were designed by the bride but professionally printed; her sister kindly attached the ribbons and unintentionally became Rebecca’s wedding planner! The pair opted out of any other venue décor because the venue spoke for itself with beautiful white bunting and fairylights. The catering at Clock Barn was fantastic, and the couple went for the mid-tier option with added extra drinks and food at the reception. Many guests commented on how good the food was! LOOKING THE PART The bride wore the Primrose dress by Theia bought from & Wolf Bridal Boutique, a local store in the town she grew up in. She also had an overlay by Jesus Peiro, which was worn to the church and later removed during the reception for a second look. She wore a short veil for the ceremony and then changed into a pearl headband for the evening. Rebecca comments, “I loved my dress so much that I didn’t want a second evening option but feel that through the accessories, I had several looks on the day. I cannot take credit for this as it was all Victoria’s idea, the owner of the bridal boutique. It was the first and only bridal shop I needed to go to as she was so knowledgeable, never tried to oversell or push for a sale and could almost read my mind about what I wanted! I loved my dress; I feel sad thinking about never being able to wear it again, but I may try to remake it into a different style to wear again. I loved my hair and make-up and felt my whole look wouldn’t go out of fashion. Everyone said how ‘me’ it was and that it wasn’t a surprise I went for something so simple and classic.” Owen wore a tux bought from Moss, which fit the classic and simple theme of the day while also suiting the groom’s style. The couple’s fathers and Owen’s brother all wore the same. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in blush pink dresses from Grace Loves Lace. Rebecca wanted her best girls to wear short dresses due to the wedding taking place in July. The style chosen had elasticated waistbands and ribbons to tie around, allowing the dresses to be worn in countless different ways to ensure everyone was comfortable. TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple both felt very emotional on the day! They spent the night before apart, so it was a complete build-up of nerves and excitement. They had a short joke at the altar about the bride’s a prior nose incident, but they both found it hard not being able to hug or kiss until during the ceremony, when they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. They were fixed on each other the whole time and forgot about everyone behind them. The couple provided garden games in one of the fields at the venue to keep guests entertained, which the bride’s brother had made for his wedding the year before. They were a big hit with not only the adults but also the children. In the evening, a terrific live band performed! The music appealed to the younger and older guests thanks to the range of crowd-pleasing songs. The bride didn’t leave the dancefloor the whole time they played. 34
