Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 102)

I wore various special pieces of jewellery, most of which were opals, and a necklace containing my mum’s ashes around my wrist as a bracelet. I wore a dress called Charm by Jenny Packham, which is the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. It’s covered in embellishments of lucky charms, stars and moons. I felt beautiful, with a real sense of calm and contentment that everything had come together. It can be hard to imagine the whole package throughout the planning process, so to see everything turn out as I’d hoped was just so special. The bridesmaids wore pale dusky blue dresses! There were seven adults and one junior bridesmaid, so we had a few different styles all in the same colour. A band played our favourite rock and indie tunes with a DJ to follow with our favourite soul, Motown and disco numbers. The singer/ guitarist from the band played an acoustic set during the drinks reception, which was a hit with guests. Bobby wore a navy blazer with a light check, a pale blue waistcoat to match the bridesmaids, beige trousers and bespoke shoes from Crockett & Jones. We wanted a big celebration with all our nearest and dearest where everyone just had a great time, ate fantastic food, and danced the night away. REAL WEDDINGS 45
