Your Herts and Beds Wedding - June/July 2023 (Issue 98)

36 a family heirloom pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings. The groom looked dapper in a lovely three-piece Donegal tweed suit with a dusty blue satin slim tie and pocket square. He looked slightly different than his groomsmen with his engraved tie holder, cufflinks and buttonhole. MEMORABLE MOMENTS The bride felt calm and excited on the wedding morning, trying to soak in every moment as she knew the day would fly by. The emotions and nerves kicked in just before she walked down the aisle. Genna says, “It was such a lovely feeling to devote my all to Matt during the ceremony, as I love him so much! It was amazing having everyone we loved around us supporting and cheering us on. I remember Matt being extremely nervous for his speech, which he absolutely smashed, and anxious for the first dance.” A funny part of the day was that the bride was slightly late to enter the church as one of my bridesmaids got lost on the way, the bride forgot to put her underskirt on and nearly left her bouquet behind. HONEYMOON After the perfect wedding, the couple went on a two-night trip together before a two-week honeymoon with their daughter on the Amalfi coast a week later. Genna says, “The honeymoon was a dream and went so smoothly, considering we had our two-year-old. We really enjoyed having her with us and sharing the experiences of Italy. The places we visited, food, gelato and prosecco were to die for! It was such a child-friendly place, so our girl had a fuss made about her everywhere we went." The family stayed at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley on the Sorrento Coast, which had beautiful views of the mountains, sea and Mount Vesuvius. They used the train, local ferry and coaches to travel around and visit places such as Capri Island and Positano.
