I felt beautiful on the day! Being a swim teacher and working with kids always makes me look like a mess, so it was a lovely change. We had a live musician during the ceremony as well as the reception. Our guests commented on his lovely voice and the choice of songs. My top priority was to find the ideal wedding venue! As a swim teacher, I absolutely love being near water, so it was only fitting that I wanted to tie the knot by a lake. I was also looking for a place that offered many great photo spots. When we visited The Oak Room at Brocket Hall, the weather was gloomy and rainy, but the grounds still looked stunning. My sister was my bridesmaid, and I encouraged her to choose a comfortable dress in my preferred colour. I had two lovely flowergirls who wore white and burgundy dresses. I also gifted them flower tiaras and personalised baskets. We were both just so happy and energetic on the day; we were shocked at how quickly the ceremony was over. 40
