Your Herts and Beds Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 103)

ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS We getting married in summer and are looking for a special way to remember loved ones no longer with us, what ideas can you suggest? It can be difficult to miss a loved one, especially on a special occasion like your wedding. Releasing doves provides a unique and special way to remember those loved ones who can’t be with you on your special day. The symbolic gesture of the soaring doves conveys a message of love, peace, and remembrance, creating a heartfelt tribute that adds a special touch to your ceremony. This thoughtful gesture is a beautiful and meaningful way to honour the memory of those who have passed, creating a lasting impact on you and your guests. The release can be included as part of your ceremony with all your guests or in a more private setting to reflect quietly together. Here at Angel Wings Dove Release, we work with all couples to make a sad, emotional moment a beautiful and memorable one. Greg Simpson Angel Wings Dove Release www.angelwingsdoverelease.co.uk IT’S A SPRING THING I'm set to tie the knot next spring, and I'd love to include some of the season's most beautiful flowers in my bouquet and venue décor. Do you have any suggestions for what I should look for? There’s an abundance of flowers to choose from if you’re getting married in the spring. Spring is not only gorgeous but quite often comes with a more beautiful scent than any other season. You can use spring varieties alone or team them with other year-round flowers. Pick from fluffy ranunculus, scented freesia and narcissus, or a simple tulip bouquet for something quirky. Bright colours mixed together are brilliant with spring blooms, or keep it classic with all whites! Can you offer us some advice? For many couples, their only experience with a professional photographer is their school photos; in many cases, this isn’t a great one! Choosing the right wedding photographer is the key to feeling relaxed and confident about your wedding photos. Before booking a supplier, research their work and choose three to four companies that appeal to you. Read testimonials and see if these resonate with you. Ask for a full wedding gallery to see all the photographs taken at a wedding. If possible, meet with your short list of photographers, ideally in person or over a Zoom call, to see if your personalities fit. Fear of the unknown raises anxiety. This can be greatly reduced by having a prewedding photo shoot with your wedding photographer to build your relationship and give you a small taste of what having professional photographs feels like. When it comes to your wedding day, relax and enjoy it! Laugh, cry, live and breathe the rollercoaster of emotions and have the best day. Your professional wedding photographer will capture all the magical moments you can relive and retell. Your wedding album is a complete wedding day story and will become an heirloom for generations.
