We aimed to keep the wedding intimate with close family and friends for the daytime but celebrate with a big reception in the evening. We loved that Milling Barn could cater for this! Our venue offered exclusive hire, and the entire setting is just so beautiful. We loved the super rustic ceremony bar, modern converted barn for the wedding breakfast and reception, the outside kitchen for the evening food and the wonderful open green spaces all around. We opted for natural-looking bouquets with lots of foliage and white flowers. Our semi-naked cake was decorated with flowers to match the bouquets and table decorations. We had miniature gingerbread men baked and decorated for favours. We had foliage garlands with small white flowers and candles interspersed for centrepieces. 40 I was so happy that everything came together with my hair, make-up and dress – I couldn’t believe I was a bride!
