Your Herts and Beds Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 103)

We had a DJ to keep guests entertained. I had started to feel anxious when preparing for the ceremony, but the moment I saw Joe, I felt at ease and able to enjoy myself. I was relieved that everything had come together on the day. The groom wore an all-black tux to stand out from the groomsmen. I wore a dress named Halo by Justin Alexander; I accessorised with pearl earrings and a necklace to keep my look classic. I wanted a dress with lots of lace detail and sleeves but couldn’t find the one until I tried something different! I used wooden slabs for the centrepieces and the florist added bud vases with pastel flowers to accompany a Polaroid picture on an easel that I provided. No real flames were allowed, so I used LED string lights in Hendricks bottles to add a special touch. 36
