We had some singing waiters entertain our guests during the wedding breakfast. We had a Motown soul band called The AlleyCatz perform during our reception. We gifted all of our groomsmen a pair of bumblebee cufflinks, which they wore on the day - we had a bumblebee icon featured in lots of our décor too. I teamed my gown with a veil, a pair of pearl-encrusted shoes, some pearl earrings and a pearly hair comb. My dress was perfect for the church service with sleeves that could be removed, giving a relaxed feel for the marquee reception. “Despite the day being about us, the celebration needed to be for our guests. Alex wanted a party so I took great pleasure in planning plenty of surprises for both him and our wedding party throughout the day.” - Ellie Alex and his groomsmen all wore traditional navy tails with double-breasted waistcoats and neutralcoloured pocket squares and ties. Our bridesmaids wore oyster-coloured satin halterneck dresses with a low back and an oversized bow. They were cinched at the waist to create an hourglass shape. I gifted my bridesmaids a pair of pearl drop earrings each and they also wore flat jewelled pumps – Alex and I being the same height meant that it was flat shoes all round! 30
