MAKE-UP MUST-HAVES Meet the expert: Katrina Tuktareva is a hair and make-up artist based in Wiltshire. She has worked in television, film, advertising and for catwalk shows and has experience in all aspects of creative beauty including special effects, styling and cosmetics. What make-up looks, shades and products can brides getting married this spring expect to be wearing and investing in? Katrina says: The ultra-glam look which has been popular for a few years is shifting towards a more soft and natural feel. Gone are the days of heavy contouring, thick lashes and eyebrows brushed upwards. Now it’s all about effortless make-up and hair, think soft beige, light brown and baby pink shades applied to the eyes twinned with a touch of extra sparkle. My favourite product to achieve this is ICONIC London’s Loose Pigment Palette – Original because the sparkle is delicate. I like to add eyeliner and recommend the various shades available from MAC but instead of using it thick, it should be applied from the middle of the eyelids towards the outer corner, slightly extended towards the temple. Natural-looking lashes are trending now and EYLURE London’s ¾ length lashes look fantastic on every eye shape. These should be set against a natural-looking glow so that if your skin has no blemishes, a BB or CC cream can create a soft and radiant lightweight finish. I recommend the CC cream from Erborian Korean Skin Therapy. Blusher and bronzer are still popular make-up items this season but should be applied very lightly - this year, less is more! Your lips should enjoy a natural-looking, glossy finish. I love the Lip Oil Potion from Lord & Berry which I usually apply on the middle of the lips. I team this with a lip pencil in a colour that matches the lip colour. Finally, a setting spray with SPF is a must-have product for brides – the Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Face Mist by La Roche Posay is a great investment! 07723 899 452, https://katrinamua.portfoliobox.net; www.facebook.com/katrinmua; www.instagram.com/katrinatuktarevamua TWINKLE, TWINKLE Newly engaged over the Christmas and New Year period and shopping for your engagement showstopper?
