Your East Midlands Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 61)

Cult Fusuiornal This sentimental and vibrant shoot was bursting full of romance Images courtesy of Amanda Forman Photography This styled shoot set in a picturesque country house in the heart of the country was a collaborative effort from wedding vendors, each with a speciality in their respective field that helped create a luxe, high-end South Asian wedding ceremony. The team wanted to showcase the versatility of having the traditions of an Indian celebration with a modern twist of the decadent details of the trousseau and stationery paired with a contemporary bridal look. Shoot coordinator and venue stylist Nisha Mistry at Niche Weddings and Events comments, “The shoot focused on the key elements a couple would participate in during a Gujarati ceremony: the first look, the garland exchange showcasing their acceptance of one another and joining of the knot that tied the couple with their scarves/veil to symbolise the joining of their lives. This is followed by witnessing the fire for the blessing as well as blessings shown by showering petals, the Seven Vows of Marriage and signs of marriage.” STYLED SHOOT 47
