80 DANNY INWOOD AT DANNY INWOOD PHOTOGRAPHY When did your passion for photography start? My passion for photography started at a young age, where I would take photos on holidays and at special events. It was only a 35mm film pointand-shoot camera, but it was the foundation for my love of photography. It was then at secondary school that I opted for photography in art. Along my journey, I attended several different photography workshops where I furthered my knowledge and experience. What do you offer newlyweds? I support couples at every step, from their enquiry to delivering the images. I always tell my couples that I’m at the end of my phone for a quick chat, message or email no matter how big or small the question. I offer my newlyweds, as standard, a 12-month passworded cloud-based (Pixieset) gallery with all of their edited high-resolution images. Here they can download, share and even order large artwork prints. With every package, pairs receive a wooden presentation box with 100 6x4 prints of their choice along with a matching wooden USB memory stick with two sets of images, one with high-resolution photos and the other with lowresolution that are social media ready. What’s your favourite part of the job? I love talking to people about their interests and wedding plans. I like to find elements in common from the moment I talk to potential wedding couples, so I’m considered a friend leading up to the day to aid the ease of taking natural pictures. What advice can you share with nearlyweds? Enjoy the day and take in every minute, from getting ready with your wedding party to embracing the first dance. Keep relaxed and allow me to capture the wedding as it happens naturally. Check out: www.dannyinwoodphotography.com TOM HODGSON AT TOM HODGSON PHOTOGRAPHY When did your passion for photography start? My first photography experience was being given a little 35mm point-and-shoot camera as a young boy. I loved taking images and unwrapping the Klick-developed pack of 6 x 4 photos with my mum. I’m fortunate to have had such supportive parents, which has helped me develop my photography from the slightly blurred images as an eight-year-old to the great images I can capture today. My passion for photography grew when I moved to the Peak District aged 15, capturing the beautiful landscape. What do you offer newlyweds? I have developed my style as a wedding photographer over the last 13 years, focusing on documenting weddings to capture stories unfolding and taking a short time to get some amazing wedding portraits. The most important thing for couples is to have amazing images telling the story of their once-in-a-lifetime special day. What’s your favourite part of the job? My favourite part of the job is capturing emotion between people, whether full of energy and laughter or more calm and even sombre moments. I love blending in and becoming just another guest that is handy with a camera. Meeting new people and being part of a party is the best! What advice can you share with nearlyweds? I want to ensure that my couples get the chance to make the most of their wedding day and for me, that’s them cherishing precious time with loved ones. Ensure you print your favourite images, especially those with your closest circle. Put them up around your home and enjoy the happy memories that each photo should bring.
