Your East Midlands Wedding - August/September 2023 (Issue 57)

I went with sage green dresses in different styles for the bridesmaids’ dresses, to ensure everyone felt comfortable. The Dimblebee Catering Company fed our guests a selection of canapés to start, followed by a relaxed buffet of handmade kebabs with a selection of sides for main. We had disposable cameras on each table with a jar of props for people to take fun photos and act as a conversation starter if needed!. We didn’t want a traditional wedding cake and both love cheese, so we hired The Melton Cheeseboard to provide a tiered selection. The wonderful harpist Harriet Flather played during our drinks reception! She let us choose a few songs to learn ahead of the day and then played a great selection of music everyone knew. We carried on the festival theme with bunting, fairylights, lanterns and festival flags. 43 REAL WEDDINGS
