Your East Anglian Wedding - April/May 2025 (Issue 72)

Before Becky and I moved in together we used to drive to each other’s homes – I was in North Walsham and Becky in Lowestoft – and we drove past The Boat House each time and always said to each other we’d love to get married there one day. After we got engaged, we booked a viewing with Belinda and fell in love with the venue instantly we didn’t look anywhere else. I worse an A-line dress by Miss Stella York and Becky wore an A-line dress from Morilee. We both bought veils from City Brides and got jewellery and headpieces to match. Our friend’s six-month-old baby ‘objected’ when the registrar asked if anyone knew of any reason we couldn’t be wed! We made our own skull wax melts, and each guest had a gay pride rock sweet. We got married on Halloween as its our favourite time of the year. So, we had autumnal leaves and lots of pumpkins throughout the day. A standout moment was seeing each other for the first time down the aisle, and seeing our son Logan walk down the aisle before Becky approached. He also did a beautiful reading during our ceremony. 36
