BRUISYARD BARN, IP17 2EJ 01728 639 000 | www.bruisyardcountryestate.com Tucked away in the Suffolk countryside, the 17th-century barn at Bruisyard is one of the region’s treasures. Set in the heart of the country estate, wooden beams criss-cross the high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling double doors allow natural light to flood in. Celebrate in style The Banqueting Hall, Medieval Hall and Minstrels’ Gallery can accommodate 140 people for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. You can tie the knot inside the barn or outside. With a mix of formal and informal gardens in more than 700 acres of grounds, there’s a wealth of romantic spots and great photo opportunities to choose from. Celebrate in style after the vows and party the night away in the Banqueting Hall with up to 200 loved ones. We love... The five-star accommodation available at Bruisyard Hall is just a short walk from the barn and is perfect for those of you looking to extend the celebrations. CURDS HALL BARN, NR19 2RQ 07377 138 882 | www.curdshallbarn.co.uk Curds Hall Barn is set within 12 acres of luscious parkland and surrounded by uninterrupted views of the Norfolk countryside. The venue is made up of two conjoined rooms: the 17th-century Main Barn is light and airy, with whitewashed walls showcasing chequered brick and flintwork, high vaulted ceilings with original beams and contemporary lighting. While the Woodshed provides a contrasting space with darker wood cladding and atmospheric lighting, creating the perfect blank canvas for a romantic and intimate wedding breakfast. Celebrate in style Ceremonies of up to 120 loved ones take place in The Main Barn. As previously described, it’s a bright room with huge, glazed doors and underfloor heating. For al fresco nuptials, you can tie the knot under the Old Oak Tree, positioned on the edge of the woodland, or outside on the lawn, which has an adjoining open-fronted cartshed with upright beams that can be decorated. Post-vows, drink receptions are held on the lawn or in the Main Barn, with couples able to provide their own drinks with no corkage charges and/or use the in-house bar. Wedding breakfasts take place in the Woodshed, which has long rustic dining tables and lime-washed Chivari chairs for up to 120 guests. Upright and overhead beams can be dressed with swags of fabric or decorative lighting to create a magical atmosphere. Guests will return to the Main Barn for the evening reception, which has space for up to 200 people, a staffed bar and access to the loft breakout space in the same room as the dancefloor. We love... When tying the knot here, you will have access to a dedicated wedding coordinator, and although Curds Hall Barn is a dry-hire venue, it can provide many of the services needed, such as heating, lighting, tables and chairs, lavatories, a PA system and a staffed bar, leaving you to focus on the elements that you enjoy putting together. www.ginamanning.co.uk www.ginamanning.co.uk www.rafeabrook.co.uk www.sharoncudworthphotography.com 27 BARNS
