THE BOATHOUSE, NR29 3LP 01493 730 342 | www.theboathouseormesbybroad.co.uk Just a few miles from the coast and the popular seaside town of Yarmouth is The Boathouse. Set in an idyllic spot on Norfolk’s Ormesby Broad, the venue is in a picturesque location where your guests can relax on the terrace and take in the stunning views while waiting for you to arrive for the ceremony. Celebrate in style Wonderfully light and airy, The Ceremony Room is big enough for up to 120 of your friends and family. The sliding glass doors open onto the spacious terrace, and beside it, there’s a pretty wedding arbour where you can say your vows. After tying the knot, you will proceed to the beautiful wedding breakfast and celebration rooms, a perfect blend of modern and classic styles, and enjoy a sit-down meal with your loved ones. Between the two main rooms is a reception and private bar area, ideal for drinks and canapés. Alternatively, head out to the decked terrace for an al fresco celebration. We love... You can arrive at the ceremony via a boat, which looks great in those all-important photographs. ISAACS ON THE QUAY, IP4 1AS 01473 284 000 | www.isaacsweddings.co.uk Set on the Ipswich waterfront, Isaacs On The Quay is a local landmark that’s full of character and charm. Once a wool merchant’s home and workplace, the Grade I and Grade II* listed building boasts a rich history spanning centuries and has been lovingly restored to provide a charming setting for weddings. Some of the oldest parts are thought to date back to between 1430 and 1550, and there are original features throughout, including exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, with exhibits from the building’s industrious past on display. Celebrate in style Formally known as the Sale Room, stone steps lead into the timber-framed ceremony room. Once used for storing wool cloth for export, it’s now a magical place to tie the knot and celebrate afterwards. There’s a variety of other spaces for the wedding breakfast and reception, including the Crossways or Barley Room, perfect for intimate affairs. For larger parties, the top floor comes complete with its own bar and beautiful views over the marina and can accommodate up to 80 of your loved ones for the wedding breakfast and 150 for the reception. During the spring and summer months, the private garden is also an idyllic spot for a chilled barbecue. We love... The on-site Merchant House, dating back to 1636, is ideal for getting ready on the morning of the wedding, and there’s accommodation available for up to 14 guests with four double rooms and a romantic wedding suite. www.gavinkingphotography.co.uk www.gavinkingphotography.co.uk 26
