Darren and I bought our wedding cakes from Marks and Spencer, which were all delicious. I placed them on stunning gold cake stands and decorated them with ivory faux roses. I work at Shire Hall as a wedding coordinator for Woodbridge Town Council. I help couples and their guests and support the registrars, so I know the venue incredibly well. Woodbridge is also our home town, so we wanted somewhere local. Shire Hall was small enough to be intimate, big enough for our family and friends and full of character and charm in a beautiful location. We hired Dana from The Venue Dresser to decorate the space. We opted for flowers, gold banqueting chairs with hessian sashes, floral garlands around the pillars and faux blossom trees by the register table, which looked stunning. After the ceremony, we enjoyed prosecco outside Shire Hall. Our guests then made their way to our reception venue, Grundisburgh Village Hall, for drinks and canapés on the lawn, while Darren and I were whisked off to Woodbridge Tide Mill in our wedding car. We hired a gold Bentley, which was so luxurious. It even had a mini fridge filled with champagne for us to sip during the journey! Our photographer followed and we had some stunning shots taken by the river, which was so special and very romantic. Our gold chairs were transported from Shire Hall to the wedding breakfast at Grundisburgh Village Hall. The space was transformed with faux blossom trees, a flower wall, a sweet cart, a prosecco bike, a fairylight curtain, table decorations and a light-up bar; all the little touches made it look so beautiful. We are both real foodies and Jamie Lee Smith Catering and his wonderful team did us proud. 34
