You should book your appointment around a year before the wedding. Some gowns can take six months or longer to arrive in store, so that will give you enough time to try them on and get alterations done. We recommend booking your seamstress once you've purchased your dress, as they get very busy, especially for summer weddings. Check with your boutique about what sizes they stock. Most will have a gorgeous selection in a range of sizes for you to try on. Should a dress not be the exact size for you, your consultant can make the gown look like it fits you by clamping, pinning, or adding a panel if needed.
