THE OCTAGON BARN, LITTLE PLUMSTEAD 07469 852 899 | www.theoctagonbarn.co.uk This Norfolk gem has a unique character for a big-day celebration to remember. Set in its own garden with a gravel courtyard at the front, the redbrick Grade II listed barn boasts a stunning vaulted ceiling made with North American pitch pine, thought to date back around 300 years. The walkway down to the gardens is great for fab photos and the parkland beyond provides a picturesque backdrop throughout the changing seasons. Although not currently licensed for ceremonies, you can host your wedding breakfast here with up to 140 people and invite an extra 40 for the evening reception. Surrounded by countryside, but only a 10-minute drive from Norwich, it offers the best of both worlds – country charm and easy access to the beautiful city with its major transport links. PSST… the wheels are in motion to obtain a ceremony licence, so watch this space! CURDS HALL BARN, LITTLE FRANSHAM 07377 138 882 | www.curdshallbarn.co.uk At the end of a sweeping driveway, deep in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, discover this wedding hotspot. Surrounded by 12 acres of parkland and fields, with areas of mature woodland, a lawn, pond and uninterrupted rural views, it’s a photographer’s dream. Combining rustic charm and modern facilities, the light and airy main barn is the venue’s showpiece. Dating back to the 17th century, whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings, contemporary lighting and original beams create a magical atmosphere. Big, glazed doors allow the light to flood in and there’s underfloor heating too, so it’s great for weddings all year round. The adjoining Woodshed has a cosy, intimate feel with darker wood cladding and atmospheric lighting – the perfect blank canvas for a romantic, intimate wedding. Both are licensed for ceremonies and you can celebrate afterwards with up to 120 guests, plus 80 more for the evening reception. With long, rustic tables for the wedding breakfast and plenty of space for a band and dancefloor, you can party the night away in style. Although Curds Hall Barn is a dry hire venue, many facilities such as heating, lavatories and a bar are provided, leaving you to focus on the personal touches and decorative details to make the day your own. What’s more, if you’re planning to stay over, there’s onsite accommodation just a short distance from the venue in the lovingly converted Old Coach House or you can camp out in bell tents or tipis in the nearby parkland for a night under the stars. WE LOVE… that you can say ‘I do’ under the shade of the old oak tree or on the lawn with the open-fronted cartshed as your backdrop. www.lighteningphotography.co.uk www.chloeellisphotography.com 26
