Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - March/April 2025 (Issue 54)

“The tables were named after places that are special to us and were decorated with ivy leaves, winter flowers and candles to create our cosy winter theme.” - Qusai and Robyn “We chose to include traditional Cornish pasties as the evening snack because I grew up there and we were marrying in the region.” - Robyn “My parents viewed the venue first because we live and work in London. They had a great feeling about it because myself and Qusai love rustic barns and the great outdoors.” - Robyn “Our table plan was presented on a board and set the tone of our theme with a wintery background of snowflakes and ivy leaves.” - Qusai and Robyn “My brother was one of our groomsmen who had hand-cut wooden discs which doubled as Polaroid photo name placeholders featuring pictures of us engraving our initials into a tree. Our favours were hand-packed gift bags containing sweets secured with red velvet ribbon which was one of the staple colours of our wedding theme. Our centrepieces were the bridesmaids’ flower bouquets that we re-purposed along with Arab-style lamps and ivy teamed with fairylights. We also had Jenga sets placed on each table for our guests to enjoy.” - Qusai and Robyn “The genuine happiness and warmth at our wedding was overwhelming - no one told us of the overwhelming love and appreciation your guests have for you as a couple, it was a feeling we will never forget!” - Qusai and Robyn “The staff at The Green Cornwall were so friendly and helpful. Many of our guests could stay on site which was important because some of our loved ones were travelling from overseas.” - Qusai and Robyn 32
