Amina and Leo met at The Totnes Brewing Company. “His laugh, height, and desire to help others through his volunteer work helping refugees and the homeless attracted me to him,” Amina tells us. Leo adds, “I loved Amina’s ambition, courage and how she looks at life.” Leo proposed during a coastal walk near Salcombe. “There wasn’t a soul around apart from 50 sheep,” Amina says. “It was April Fools’ Day and he jokes by saying he could’ve pretended it was a joke if I had said no! It was a wonderful surprise and I had no idea, I had even tried inviting other people along for our walk!” SETTING THE SCENE The couple chose Torre Abbey as their venue because of its beautiful gardens and history. “The Undercroft where we held our ceremony dates back to Medieval times and the Spanish Barn where we hosted our reception is more than 800 years old,” Amina tells us. “It was accessible with plenty of accommodation for our guests to stay in, plus it was located by the beach.” The couple’s ceremony was funny, sentimental, personal, and beautiful. “This was thanks to the celebrant Mary Crooks,” Amina says. “She made us feel so calm and full of love for each other and our “Our day was full of love.
