Tripti and Richard met online after both swiping right, and the rest is history. “I was drawn to Richard’s kind nature and sense of humour, while he was captivated by my energy and passion for life,” Tripti tells us. Richard proposed in June 2023 while the couple were on a trip to the Azores. “He chose the back garden of our holiday home, with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Sea as the special location,” Tripti tells us. “It was a very intimate moment with nobody around.” SETTING THE SCENE Tripti and Richard were attracted to their chosen venue, Kingston Estate in Devon for many reasons. “It was a space where our dog, Milo, could feel comfortable and free,” Tripti tells us. “We loved that the venue offered the flexibility to add our DIY touches and personalise it to make it truly our own.” The couple celebrated with a two-day affair including an Indian wedding and a British one. “The venue enabled us to gather everybody together for the entire wedding weekend,” Tripti says. “It allowed our loved ones to unwind, knowing that their accommodation was on-site, and for a two-day celebration, it meant our guests could maximise each evening.” “Surprisingly, we didn’t feel as nervous as we thought we would. Having prepared so much for the big day, we were ready to both enjoy it and not sweat the smaller stuff.” - Tripti and Richard 29 REAL WEDDINGS
