WEAVER GREEN UNVEIL SUSTAINABLE TABLE LINEN COLLECTION Join Devon-based Weaver Green in the movement for eco-friendly dining with their sustainable collection of table linens and aprons. Made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, these incredible linens transform the dining experience with beautifully crafted, earth-friendly fabrics that feel as soft as natural linen yet are designed to be both recycled and recyclable. Every item in the Antibes collection is created using a unique process that reclaims discarded plastic bottles, which are then spun into yarns that mimic the luxurious texture of linen. Soft to the touch and rich in colour, the range features a lovely blanket stitch edging and simple tassels on the corners of the napkins. The result is a collection that not only looks beautiful but also has a positive impact on the environment. The Antibes table linen collection comes in green and blue stripe colourways. The tablecloth is available in two sizes, priced from £50, and napkins in packs of four, priced at £45. The Weaver Green Kitchen Linen collection also includes a range of beautiful canvas-weight aprons perfect not only for busy cooks but also gardeners and creatives. Made from the same amazing recycled fabric, they’re soft, stain-resistant and machine-washable. Available in four designs and several colourways, priced at £50. www.weavergreen.com POB HOTELS UNVEILS VISION FOR BRAND GROWTH AND MORE PoB Hotels, the exclusive collection of the finest independent hotels across the British Isles, recently announced the latest member hotels including Boringdon in Devon, a historic gem known for its wellness offerings. THE GARDEN CAFÉ NEWQUAY PICKS UP NATIONAL GOOD FOOD AWARD The Garden Café, based at the Heritage Cottages in Newquay’s stunning Trenance Gardens won a National Good Food Award for the second year running. After the delight of the first win in 2023, the café has worked hard throughout 2024 and through its customer service, value for money and heritage menu has again been selected for the award. “We celebrate top-notch food, service, and value, basing our awards on what matters most: customer opinion. By using customer feedback, online reviews, nominations and votes, we ensure our awards reflect genuine dining experiences. Many awardees continue to shine by maintaining the high standards that first earned them recognition.” says the Good Food Awards. This was very much the case with The Garden Café in winning for a second year. The establishment also won Newquay in Bloom for Best Café and is also up for Best Café in The Cornwall Tourism Awards. The dog-friendly café focuses on Cornish favourites such as Cornish cream teas with homemade scones as well as homemade cakes, light lunches with a heritage theme and off-season events at Halloween and Christmas with tailored, themed food and drink. The team at the café would like to thank their customers; “Thank you to all our customers, both local regulars and summer visitors who have been so kind as to leave reviews and vote for us. We are a small café that likes to create memories with a heritage twist for all who visit and it’s great to see that recognised and our hard-working team rewarded.” www.thegardencafenewquay.com 10
