Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 52)

Phoebe and Greg met through Phoebe’s mum, Susie who introduced them. “She was Greg’s manager for a few years in a job he had while also studying at university and she thought he would make the perfect son-in-law!” Phoebe tells us. “She used to let Greg leave work early so that we could go on dates and when I started working in the same job, she would assign us to the same shifts. We used to have such fun working together and were both always desperate to spend more time together - she was a great matchmaker!” Greg proposed to Phoebe at home in the first house that they lived in together. “We were with our three dogs talking about life and how much we loved each other when Greg stood up and left the room,” Phoebe tells us. “He came back in with the most stunning ring, got down on one knee and told me he just couldn’t wait another second to be engaged to me. It was a huge surprise and I cried with happiness!” SETTING THE SCENE Millbrook Estate was the perfect venue for Phoebe and Greg who travelled approximately 650 miles from their home in Lossiemouth, Scotland to get married there. “We had viewed many different venues from castles to barns but when we came across Millbrook Estate, it just “We embraced every minute. It went by really quickly but we savoured all of it. We had so much fun, especially when we went to have our photos taken, just the two of us.” - Phoebe and Greg 39 REAL WEDDINGS
