Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 52)

The speeches were fantastic! Andrew gave a sentimental, emotional and funny speech and the best man’s was great! We decided on having sunflowers teamed with gypsophila which helped determine our rustic theme using hessian, logs and plenty of candles. “We had many guests in total with our blended family and The Griffin was able to cater for everyone. We loved the friendly and warm welcome when we visited the venue and Kat, our wedding coordinator was incredible!” - Katie and Andrew We both wanted a traditional church wedding and decided to keep with tradition by having the ceremony at noon with bells ringing on arrival. We then went with our photographer to The Barrowfields to take advantage of the sunny weather for our couple portraits and then to Andrew’s family farm for some fun tractor pictures! We welcomed our guests at The Griffin with a glass of Pimms on arrival and had a traditional wedding breakfast at 3.30 pm. The table set-ups followed our stunning theme with menu choices, a seating plan, place names and favours which were a personalised packet of sunflower seeds with thank-you notes. Our evening buffet was served at 8.30 pm which kept guests going well into the night. 33 REAL WEDDINGS
