Also, don’t feel pressured to have everything. It’s your day and you should have what you truly want. Don’t let people intervene and tell you otherwise. We also booked singer-songwriter, and tv and radio personality, Elin Fflur. Guests were so blown away, not only by her music, but by the fact that she was indeed the Elin Fflur! From day one, Dan had his heart set on a live band. He plays in a band himself, so it was important to him. I just wanted to dance, so I left him to his own devices when it came to the entertainment! We went through The Function Hub, who were fab, and booked The 1965. One of the day’s highlights for me was seeing the Coach House dressed up for the first time. Seeing our vision pulled off was such an intense feeling of excitement and overwhelming joy. Showing Dan what we’d built together was such a proud moment. As a surprise to Dan and everyone else, I asked my hairdresser to come on the day and chop my hair off! It had grown so long for the braid, that was it for me. So, hidden upstairs with my maid-of-honour barricading the door, she gave me a bob. Best moment ever. The venue’s catering company, Cheeky Chilli Events catered our wedding breakfast, which was incredible. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone still talks about how good it was. 29
