This stands out for Lucy as one of her most memorable moments. “It was a time when we could just be us. We genuinely had the most fun day, but you don’t realise how much you’re going to be running around taking pictures, chatting to guests and trying to stay on track with the schedule. But it was fun, because all of a sudden, the whole day is about you, and everyone rallies around to make sure it’s perfect.” For Matt, having photos taken by the river was the highlight. Again, it offered the newlyweds some much-needed quiet time away from the busy day, when they were able to relax and chat. There was certainly no shortage of stunning spaces at Talhenbont to potter around in and capture some couple shots. Matt says, “I was surprised at how easy everything was, no stress. Alicia and Paul at the venue did everything to take the pressure off and ensure we had a great day. They were always there with a glass of fizz at the perfect time, and we genuinely didn’t have to think about what we needed to do next.” THE BRIDE’S TOP TIP “Try to stay true to the vision you have for your wedding and not be persuaded by what other people are doing, or what you think your guests want. There’ll always be someone with a bigger budget but ultimately it won’t matter what people think on the day, or how much you spend. Having fun with your loved ones will make it the best day ever.” 26
