Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - September/October 2024 (Issue 77)

Our ceremony stood out for the pure romance. It was the perfect combination of sweetness and humour. I was sure Brandon would be the nervous one, stumbling over his words, being very quiet natured at heat, yet he was as cool and composed as can be and I was the one forgetting the words! My bridesmaids all chose a dress style to suit them in the same cinnamon satin fabric. We had a range of styles from Pretty Lavish including Amelia, Esmee and Keisha. I wore an Allure Bridals gown called Hope. It was nothing like I thought I’d go for, but my mum picked it out and insisted I try it as it reminded her of me as a little girl. So, I humoured her and she quickly pointed out that it was the first dress I’d smiled in. I didn’t want to take it off... For our decorative touches, I wanted to ensure that there was a cohesive theme without it feeling boring, as well as being flooded with flowers. The flowers were my absolute favourite part of the day and made the venue feel so romantic and luxurious. Brandon wore a Marc Darcy Jenson Marine suit, a navy and copper checked three piece with matching copper tie. His groomsmen were dressed in the waistcoat and tie to match him, but with a plain navy suit. We all put our masks on and shields up for the outside world, which translates to our attire too. This dress definitely reflected me to my core, a side that only my husband and closest friends and family ever see. We were all emotional and completely sold. I accessorised with a cathedrallength veil, and pearl and diamond jewellery. 46
