There was an instant attraction, thanks to their similar sense of humour. In July 2021, Harry proposed in the Trough of Bowland, Lancashire, where the couple were away on holiday. “It wasn’t a complete surprise, as we’d discussed marriage, and Harry doesn’t usually book the holidays!” Sophie tells us. The exterior of Shrigley Hall is quite magnificent and is what enticed Sophie and Harry to investigate it further as a potential venue for their big day. When they had the chance to look around, they soon discovered that the interiors were equally as impressive and were quickly sold on the idea. “The wedding team were also fantastic and made our planning stress free,” Sophie says. The pair opted for the venue’s All Wrapped Up package, which included the services of the venue’s recommended suppliers, making life even easier.
