Everyone can sort themselves out on the day! It can feel like you’re hosting a whole bunch of people and it’s tempting to micro-manage and feel stressed, but everything worked itself out so perfectly for us. If anything, things went better than I could have imagined. 600 Degrees Pizza provided our evening food and this hit the spot perfectly. They even made Dan and I our vegan pizza and laid it aside for when we were ready. Our cake, by Vanilla Nova Cakes, tied into our décor perfectly. It had winter foliage wrapped around it to complement the eucalyptus used elsewhere, and gold leaf embellished icing to match the gold and green palette. It turns out we shouldn’t have been worried though. It was so special and emotional that we didn’t think about much else outside of each other. Like our cake, our entire wedding breakfast was vegan and was catered by Carringtons Catering. It was delicious and we received so many compliments, the gingerbread pudding being a firm favourite. DJ Steve Mitchell provided the evening’s entertainment and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dancefloor so full! Dan and I pretty much never left it, I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Vanilla Nova even created our gorgeous puppy and our favourite book in icing as a cake topper. 36
