I wore a Martina Liana gown. I found it in the second bridal boutique I went to and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one! It was an A-line dress, which really suited my figure. We tweaked it a little by adding a bit of sparkle, which is me all over! I felt like a real-life princess. I had a pendant with a picture of my mum in it attached to my bouquet, as well as a picture of Sami’s grandma, both of whom are no longer with us. It meant they both walked down the aisle with me and were a very special part of our day. Willow and Fig did an amazing job of reusing the aisle décor inside the Peel Suite, using flowers and wooden rustic textures they created a warm and beautiful atmosphere. Sami completely surprised me with her outfit of choice, and OMG did she look incredible! She wore a wide leg white suit with a body and accents of burnt orange to match my bridesmaids. She accessorised with a small flower crown and buttonhole to match my bouquet. As Sami is South African we had keyrings made of South African animals with a note about her grandma’s charity, and why it’s so close to our hearts. The children had their own colouring books etc so they could have fun too. 34
