Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - June/July 2022 (Issue 89)

Finally, the sun is shining! It feels like it’s been a long time coming doesn’t it? As much as I’m very much a winter bunny, I must admit that feeling a warm breeze on my face for a change has cheered me up. My friends and I have decided to compile a bucket list of activities we’d like to enjoy this summer, and plans are well underway for our very own CWM bride’s hen do. If you’re worried about what your best gals might have planned for yours, the best way is to maintain an open line of communication. Make sure you lay down perimeters and make it abundantly clear well in advance if L plates, sashes and the like aren’t your thing. Olivia, Nolwenn and I sat bride Melissa down for a chat first to make sure we didn’t make any faux pas and asked her to provide us with a guest list and options for available dates. No doubt you’ll have been careful about your bridesmaid choices, they love you and know you well, so we’re sure you’re in capable hands. Relax and enjoy the break from planning everything yourself. You’ll find this, our summer issue, brimming with plenty of inspiration and advice as always. We chatted to the region’s boutique owners for their take on what’s hot in bridal fashion at the moment. They’ve even given us the lowdown on styles to look out for in the future. Among these pages you’ll also find our ultimate guide to venue styling, where you’ll discover everything from how to choose a theme and colour palette to avoiding the most common pitfalls. Still hungry for more wedspiration? Don’t forget to check out our social media channels @YourBristolSomersetWedding, @cwm_wedding, @countyweddings and of course, the latest member of the family, our YouTube channel (to find it, just head over to www.youtube.com and search “County Wedding Magazines”).
