They hit it off straight away and became good friends, but when Sammy left the job they fell out of touch. Happily though, two years later they found each other again and started dating. On holiday in Marrakesh, the pair booked an excursion to visit the waterfalls. Whilst there, Aaron offered to take a photograph of another couple who’d offered to do the same for them. Sammy remembers, “As we were about to have our photo taken, Aaron got down on one knee and popped the question. It was a total surprise and obviously I cried my eyes out and said ‘yes!’” Sammy and Aaron had their hearts set on a bright and airy summer wedding. They looked at a couple of venues, but as soon as they saw Elmhay Park, they knew it was the one. “We particularly liked that we could marry outside but there was plenty of cover in the Italian gardens, and that we had exclusive use of the venue,” Sammy explains.
