Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 100)

VICTORIA SPICER, TORY B HAIR www.torybhair.co.uk | @toryb_hair We’re engaged! Now what? Congratulations, and now the fun part. Download your free copy of Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding for everything you’ll ever need, including a link to a rather keen bridal hairstylist more than a thousand heads of hair under their belt and a hankering to talk weddings! I can’t recommend a trial highly enough. Book around three months before the big day and tick one big job off your list. By organising the hair for you and your bridal party at the trial it means you’re free to relax on the morning of your big day. What do we need to do to prepare? Timings are important to you, so one major piece of information I cannot stress enough is to have all the wedding party turn up with clean and dry hair. It takes prep time down by half, clean hair is a dream to put up and we have an arsenal of fabulous hair products now that means it’s going to hold in place all day. How can we make our big day totally us? Good question and the one that takes a standard wedding to a whole new level. When the day reflects you both it shows, so don’t get bogged down by anything that you feel is obligatory. Just a browse through the magazine will highlight just how those personal elements make it a wedding everyone will look back on in years to come. If you feel a bride must have an updo but it’s really not you when you look in the mirror, stop and rethink. There’s nothing we can’t do to take your style to a new level and reflect the true you. What’s your top planning tip? Trust us! We’ve been present on so many wedding mornings that we know how quickly time can fly by, we know how to whip up an updo or tame a frizz, we’re happy to re-pin a dropped curl or whip out the hairspray at the drop of a hat and won’t leave until everyone is happy. Wedding ready Snap happy CRAIG CHEBER, BOOTH NINETEEN https://booth19.co.uk @booth_nineteen We’re engaged! Now what? Soak it up, tell your friends, tell your family! Have an engagement party and just about anything else that means you can shout to the world about your new engagement. You deserve it and the planning only gets more hectic! What’s the best time to open our photo booth? This is a straightforward answer and while everyone’s plans are slightly different, I always say think of us as the evening entertainment. Maybe starting just after the first dance or just before the live band. How can we make our big day totally us? Whether it’s sport, books, TV or film, almost all wedding suppliers are able to slightly adapt their offerings to suit your personality. At Booth Nineteen we offer personalised print templates, guestbooks, props and more to perfectly suit any decor or theme! Ask your suppliers about how they can allow you to inject your personalities into what they’re providing for your big day. What’s your top planning tip? Don’t scrimp on the crescendo of the biggest day of your life. A live band and a dancefloor are a good start but won’t be enough to keep revellers going all night long. Often evening entertainment runs for up to six hours after the wedding breakfast, so make sure you have a band, DJ, magician, photo booth, glitter artists, lawn games and anything else your budget will allow for! This will create a truly magical energy to end your truly magical day. www.london-weddingphotographer.com PLANNING SOS 51
