It makes for an incredible location for weddings with the freedom and creativity to make it yours. The Grade II listed house and grounds can be entirely yours for the day, weekend or whole week. Having a wedding here is rather like having a wedding at your own house. The place is yours to do with as you wish (within some boundaries of course) and you can create your day exactly as you envision it. The stunning grounds feature rolling parkland, a walled garden, paddocks and an apple orchard with ample photo opportunities. The Main Hall is an open, relaxed reception room and dining area for the house. If required, the dining area can be removed, which opens the room up further. You also have the option to erect a marquee leading off of the Main Hall to create a much larger dining and function area for up to 250 guests. The venue can even offer all-night dancing in the cellar! The Library is a cosy room with an open fire, ideal for winter weddings. It is licensed for small ceremonies with up to 25 guests. Right in the centre of the main building, the Gallery is a great space to welcome guests, serve drinks, or offer the chance to mingle. There’s a sweeping staircase perfect for memorable photos and it’s a great space for speeches. It also has a built-in bar area at your disposal. Sparkford Hall is decorated in keeping with the period of the house with some modern twists. There are a total of 15 bedrooms sleeping up to 36, all rooms are doubles but both the Hall and the Gardener’s Cottage include a dorm-style room. As well as a number of local hotels and B&Bs, the venue can offer other accommodation options including camping and glamping. Guests can bring their own tents or the team can supply fully made up glamping bell tents in the orchard where there are separate facilities for campers. Outside, in the magnificent formal gardens, there’s an open-air heated swimming pool with nearby hot tub and sauna. The beautiful gardens are a mixture of formal and parkland offering colour throughout the seasons. The main drive is flanked with mature limes and there’s a remarkable avenue of pleached limes on the south lawn. This too can be used as a celebrant-led ceremony space seating the same numbers. The Dining Room can seat 22 nearest and dearest, perfect for a rehearsal dinner. It can also be used as an intimate celebrant-led ceremony space with 30 guests. Once you’ve danced the night away you and your guests can rest your heads in one of eight bedrooms in the house accommodating up to 18 people. Next to it is a Dovecote providing an additional two bedrooms with room to sleep a further four people, which is self-contained and has its own family room, kitchen and bathroom.
