Our beautiful bridesmaids wore teal-coloured, floor-length dresses with a sweetheart neckline and slim straps. They accessorised them with a pair of matching pearl and leaf motif necklaces which were a gift. After our wedding breakfast and before the evening entertainment started, we asked our best man who is a professional musician to do a music set. He played his guitar and sang a few songs which sounded great. If you give them a clear brief of what you need them to do, leave them to it so you can relax and enjoy your wedding.” - Nicole and Andy Our evening DJ was hired through our event package with the venue from Showtime Events – Ray was an absolute joy to work with and ensured our unique taste in music worked well throughout the night! We hired an ice cream bike from The Works in High Wycombe. We knew of the business living locally and have enjoyed the food there before, so it seemed a fun option to add to our evening. Andy wore a navy tweed suit and matching waistcoat and trousers with a burnt orange tie and a pair of tan shoes. He also followed the something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue theme with a pair of his grandad’s old cufflinks, a watch which was a gift from me on our wedding morning, a family heirloom pocket watch and a pair of blue boxer shorts. Our groomsmen wore the same navy tweed suits as Andy but without waistcoats. They also had burnt orange ties and tan shoes. I was prepared for the cooler temperature at our October wedding with a faux fur cropped shrug which went well with my dress that I wore for our evening photos to be taken. I accessorised my dress with a pair of leaf motif drop earrings as my something new, a leaf-embellished sparkly hairpiece and a simple silver diamond necklace which was my something borrowed. I also wore a gold bracelet which was a family heirloom as my something old plus I had a blue flower stitched into the hem of my dress as my something blue. I knew that I wanted a white floor-length dress with slim straps to feel comfortable all day. Given our autumnal theme with natural elements, I loved the leaf motif on the dress. The printout of my speech went missing. It had been given to a member of the bridal party to look after before the ceremony and before we went in for our wedding breakfast it was nowhere to be found. Fortunately, I had a backup copy on my phone! “During the evening, we hired a photo mirror for our guests which provided fun entertainment. The team were great at getting our guests involved and bringing plenty of props along. The guest book of photographs from this photo mirror was great to read after our special day.” - Nicole and Andy 39 REAL WEDDINGS
