Our photographer, Gabby, was amazing – she was a calming and organised presence on the day and had great advice to ensure that everything ran smoothly. She captured our wedding beautifully and we are thrilled with our photos. Many guests commented how fantastic she was at getting our group shots organised quickly and efficiently but also how she was able to take candid photos subtly without anyone even knowing she was there at times! We wanted our table names to be personal to us so they were after pubs that featured in a virtual pub crawl that Andy had created for one of my birthdays. Andy explained the story behind this in his wedding speech. Having a round top table was important for us because it’s a more sociable option for everyone and we tried to group family and friends where possible on round tables. We gave our guests a quiz activity which was a fun way for them to get to know each other during our wedding breakfast. We presented a winning prize afterwards! “The moment just before Nicole walked down the aisle was a special and funny time because we had our string trio who were playing the ceremony music perform the Jurassic Park theme song causing giggles from our guests!” - Andy During our ceremony and as the guests were arriving, we hired a string trio called Bowfiddle Strings to perform because they were familiar with the venue and could provide the bridal entrance music that we wanted blending Pachelbel’s Canon in D into Can’t Help Falling In Love. We had background music playing throughout the day from a Spotify playlist that we curated ourselves of our favourite songs. We live a twenty minute drive from De Vere Latimer Estate so we added it to our list of venues to view. We were impressed with the different packages on offer and we loved the countryside setting, grandeur of the house, on-site ceremony option and space for our guests to stay overnight. They also had availability on the dates that we were considering. “Planning in detail and being organised well in advance of the day helped to ensure we felt like we had done all we could to make our wedding a success.” - Nicole and Andy “We decided not to have table favours and instead donate money to Cancer Research UK in memory of relatives who were no longer with us. This was announced in my speech with a toast to loved ones who are gone but not forgotten.” - Nicole 37 REAL WEDDINGS
