BIG-DAY BEST These local fashion and beauty suppliers unveil their Christmas and New Year inspiration Looking your ENJOY PRE-LOVED SUSTAINABLE ATTIRE IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE Imperfectly Perfect is the new campaign launched during Sustainable Fashion Week in September 2024 by the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity which has 13 charity shops across Buckinghamshire and a new electric van to move items around the county. The charity is firmly committed to supporting sustainable living with the Imperfectly Perfect campaign promoting clothes which have small fixable flaws. Head of retail, Lily Caswell says, “These pre-loved items have small imperfections, but we think they’re too lovely not to be worn again. We have adjusted our pricing to reflect that they will need a little bit of work to make them wearable again. A jumper may have a small hole, but a needle and thread are all you need to fix it and give it a new lease of life.” Those looking for a sustainable answer to big-day dressing should look no further than Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity shop in Wendover, Bucks which has a dedicated Wedding and Bridal department where brides can view the collection of pre-loved wedding, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride outfits, along with accessories from shoes and tiaras to cravats and hats. Lily says, “We often receive donations of beautiful wedding dresses and accessories. It is great that we can display these at our Wendover shop. We offer a unique and bespoke service and love helping our customers to find their perfect outfit.” All profits from the sale of these items go directly to Florence Nightingale Hospice to provide the best possible care for patients and their families across Buckinghamshire and its borders.
