LOOKING THE PART Allie wore a Calla Blancha dress called Coreena. “I chose it because it had the lace boned corset top, A-line skirt and dramatic train at the back,” she tells us. “The embroidery on the dress was very fitting to our classic theme and made me feel girly and elegant - I felt like an absolute princess! I kept my accessories simple and was pleasantly surprised by Rob on the morning of our wedding with his gift of a pair of diamond earrings.” Rob wore a midnight blue velvet jacket, a white dinner shirt with black buttons, a midnight blue velvet bow tie and a pair of dark charcoalcoloured dinner suit trousers with a black satin stripe. He finished his look with a pair of black Crockett and Jones monk shoes. “The groomsmen wore black velvet jackets and bow ties with the same shirts and trousers as Rob,” Allie explains. “Our bridesmaids wore a black floor-length black dress with open cross backs while our flowergirl looked cute in her ivory tulle dress.” TIME TO CELEBRATE Allie and Rob entertained their guests with a playlist of acoustic mix of RnB, garage and soul tracks during their drinks reception. “ During the evening, we surprised our guests with the live band called Club Kudo which included a roaming saxophonist, drummer and a DJ to get the party started,” they tell us, “We didn’t leave the dancefloor all night and the feedback from our guests was that it was the best playlist they had heard at a wedding!” “The best man speech from James had the entire wedding party in stitches!” - Rob. 48
