Our bridesmaids were allowed to choose their dresses, so they all had slightly different styles, but they were all long dresses in a blush colour of slightly differing shades. It wasn’t a style I had initially imagined choosing, but when I went to the bridal shop with my mum, mother-in-law and sisters to try a few options on, I fell in love with it. I adored the classic style and the full skirt, I felt really special in it but also comfortable, which was key for me. During the evening we had a live band called The Runaways, which went down really well with our guests. They were very talented and were great at getting everyone on the dancefloor from the very start, but they were also really in keeping with the fun and relaxed tone of our wedding. They also performed our first dance, which was a rendition of Dean Martin’s Sway which they specifically learned for us, this was a really special and memorable moment! We had a speaker playing music throughout our drinks reception and wedding breakfast. We had compiled a playlist of instrumental modern music, in a similar style to that of the TV series Bridgerton. “A memorable moment for us and our families was our nieces and nephews taking to the microphone after the official speeches to each give jokes and little speeches of their own. It was last minute and unplanned, but we could see how excited they were to get involved as a little group. And they delivered, I think they had the loudest claps of all of the speeches!” - Alice and Adam Scan to view video www.sbfilms.co.uk 42
